First and foremost, we vacuum your carpet. We take vacuuming very seriously because this part of the process removes a lot of the loose soil in the carpet. Skipping it can lead to a subpar result. We use a commercial-grade vacuum cleaner to extract much more dirt than a standard domestic Hoover can.

More than vacuuming the carpet alone is needed to remove all the soil. Some may have become embedded deep within the carpet fibres. That's why our next step is to pre-spray the carpet with a specialist cleaning solution. The pre-spray is left to dwell on the carpet for approximately 15 minutes, allowing it to break the bonds between the carpet fibres and the embedded soils.

To further assist with loosening the soils, we will mechanically agitate the carpet using a contra-rotating brush machine (CRB). The brushes of this machine are run over the carpet, pushing the bond-breaking cleaning solution deep into the carpet.

The soils are now loose and need to be removed from the carpet. We do this using a heated bonnet cleaning machine. A bonnet is rotated over the carpet, absorbing the now loose soil. The bonnet is then turned around and run over the carpet again, and heat is applied. This time, the bonnet absorbs the moisture in the carpet, and the heat dries whatever is remaining.

Finally, the carpet is brushed in one direction to make the fibres uniform. This is achieved using a grooming brush.
